Apocalyptiverse Opens Submissions for 250th Anniversary Creator Card Set

OMAHA, ARK. — July 1, 2026 — Apocalyptiverse is opening an invitation to independent creators to submit original characters for a special commemorative card set marking the 250th anniversary of the United States. Selected characters will be added to the Apocalyptiverse platform as pullable cards in a limited release dropping just before July 4th.

The submission window is open to any creator who owns the rights to their characters outright. There is no entry fee and no requirement to be affiliated with the Apocalyptiverse universe — the only criteria are original ownership and art that can stand on its own as a card. Jashae Slaughter will personally curate the final selection from all submissions received before the deadline.

The 250th Anniversary set is designed as a moment of recognition for independent creators working outside the mainstream — people building their own worlds, owning their own IP, and making things that matter to them without a publisher's permission. The occasion of America's 250th birthday felt like the right frame: a country built on the idea that individuals can make something from nothing, reflected in a set made entirely by people doing exactly that.

Selected characters will appear as collectible cards on the Apocalyptiverse platform alongside characters from The Last Day series, redeemable through the platform's Rivers Token economy. Creators retain full ownership of their characters and IP — inclusion in the set does not transfer any rights to Apocalyptiverse.

Submission Requirements

Character must be original and wholly owned by the submitting creator
Submit character art in high resolution, portrait orientation preferred
Include character name and a brief description (2–3 sentences)
